Although we never met in person, having been in contact with Michael on several occasions on Zoom and via email was enough to get a glimpse of his extraordinary personality which combined a sense of humour with scientific passion and incorrubtible interpretation of scientific facts. What a tragic and sad loss! And there is no chance left that we ever will meet.
