My first Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society meeting was in San Diego in 1991. As I had been thrust into the job and specialty by my employer, I knew no one there. I met Mike (who was being his usual gregarious self) and he introduced me to the Aussies and the Kiwis. I sta with them at their traditional table in the back corner of the naquet room and the rest is history. All hail the mighty Bennett!
